Researchers at the University of Martin Luther University in Harlevitenberg (MLU) and the University of Bayreuth in Germany have developed a new type of self-organizing semiconductor material composed of so-called block copolymers. MLU said in a statement that for the first time, the research team was able to influence the long-chain molecular structure through the micro-electroactive structure produced automatically by particles.
Researchers say that for power generation, efficient parallel loads are necessary. Thomas Thurn-Albrecht, head of the working group for polymer experimental physics at Halle in Germany, said that “although there are still some issues that need to be resolved, this is a meaningful step for customizing optimized materials for organic photovoltaic cells.â€
