I. Work around the main points of the work of the General Conference and complete the tasks assigned by the General Conference 1. 2. Actively participate in CCMT2006 and CIMT2007 exhibitions Exhibitions are the main way to showcase the technological development of the industry, promote product sales, and do practical things for enterprises. The club has always attached great importance to this activity. After active publicity and extensive organization, each exhibition has made progress. This year, we mainly recommended super-hard products enterprises, hoping to promote the development of abrasives by promoting the development of high-end products.
4. Strengthening study and exercise, improving work efficiency Strengthening the construction of the club is one of the key tasks of the unremitting efforts. 5. Keep up with the development of the situation and timely adjust the membership structure. In the current year, we focused on clearing out a number of member units that have stopped production and changed production, and also cleared some member units that have not paid their contributions for a long time, and absorbed some new member units. Second, in order to improve the core competitiveness of enterprises, transform the mode of economic growth, vigorously explore the domestic and international markets as the main line, carry out a variety of club activities 1, lay anti-dumping lawsuits, remove barriers to the international market from May 4, 2005 to 2006 6 In the more than one year of the 19th, the industry encountered a dumping of anti-diamond circular saw blades from the United States, causing certain panic and uneasiness. Because we lost the case, the big market in the United States will be lost, and there are news that the relevant EU companies have also filed a bill against the dumping of Chinese circular saw blades. If the United States wins the case, the EU will immediately launch an anti-dumping procedure. My industry is an export-oriented industry, and the United States and Europe are the main export areas of my industry products. If you lose these two regions, it will cause a heavy blow to my industry. Because diamond saw blades are inseparable from steel matrix manufacturing, diamond manufacturing, and metal powder manufacturing. A saw blade will cause a domino effect in the industry. The club attached great importance to the incident and jointly issued a letter to the respondent enterprise with the China Stone Association during the first period of the May 1st holiday, organized and guided the enterprise to respond actively, and then organized anti-dumping work meetings with the China Chamber of Commerce for Electromechanical and Stone. Send a person to the general meeting to conduct a special report and be led by the head of the marketing department to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to communicate and coordinate the responding matters. On the one hand, the responding enterprises are required to actively report the US questionnaires on time. On the one hand, they actively collect relevant industries and import and export materials to the responding enterprises, carefully analyze the main points of the respondents, and analyze the differences in the manufacturing level of the saw blades and the raw materials used in China and the United States. Trying to provide evidence of damage to the US saw blade manufacturing industry, and trying to explain that our products are a useful complement to products in the US market. The US saw blades are medium and high-end products. The saw blades that we sell to the United States are mostly medium and low-grade products, and the raw materials such as diamonds used by us are only 1/3~1/5 of the raw materials used by the US. The club provided some statistical data for the responding enterprises. The responding companies actively filled out the questionnaires, and the lawyers team defended them. The US International Trade Commission finally proved that the diamond circular saw blades and their parts did not cause damage to the American counterparts with a 4:2 vote. . At this point, the anti-dumping case ended in our victory. The victory also gave the EU a rush to the enterprise to take the lead, completely sweeping away the obstacles of our country's saw blades in the European and American markets.
Although it has won, we must be soberly aware that this is the result of the heavy price (about $300,000/enterprise) of the responding companies, especially the three companies that responded to the separate tax rate. Victory is hard to come by, cherish it! It should also be seen that the diamond circular saw blades exported by China are indeed inferior to the quality of the products of the American counterparts, and attention should be paid to improving the product level.
2. Strengthening industry self-discipline and eliminating future hidden dangers. The club made full use of the anti-dumping case. After nearly a year of brewing, the anti-dumping police working group was first established. The members are the chairman and general manager of 16 diamond and diamond saw blade manufacturing enterprises. It is composed of the secretary-general of the branch. Its main duties are to improve enterprise management, publicize and guide enterprises to record according to international accounting rules; strengthen enterprise self-discipline, standardize export product prices and competition order, and gradually eliminate vicious price reduction competition; try to collect foreign counterparts Product level, price and other information; timely notification of the movements of foreign counterparts, especially anti-dumping trends.
The second is to strengthen the self-discipline behavior of diamond production enterprises, standardize the competition order, avoid foreign anti-dumping of the products, and promote the top three enterprises of diamond production enterprises (the Henan Yellow River whirlwind) under the condition that the quality of diamond products is greatly improved and the selling price continues to fall. Therefore, the meeting of the three business leaders will have an important impact on the development of the industry. During the meeting, the heads of the three enterprises analyzed the main problems in the development of the industry and put forward their views on the future development. They exchanged opinions on how to adopt effective measures to achieve cooperation in competition and common development in competition and cooperation. The issues of concern were fully communicated. Finally, a five-point consensus will be reached: 1. The three companies will continue to work on new technologies to improve and stabilize product quality and promote the level of China's diamonds to a higher level. 2. 4. Efforts to carry out international activities to help enterprises explore the international market as one of the co-organizers. Our club organized a delegation to participate in the International Diamond Conference hosted by the American Industrial Diamond Association, INTERTECH2006, which was held in Atlanta, USA on April 24-26, 2006. The city held an academic exchange meeting on superhard materials and their applications. The conference received more than 80 papers and arranged 48 presentations for the conference. Among them, 3 papers were selected by the conference. The secretary-general of the club preached the paper "China's six-sided top press and synthetic diamond" in the conference. This paper introduces the history of six-face press and diamond production in China's completely independent intellectual property rights in the form of data and graphs. With the current level reached, the conclusion is that China Diamond has reached the world's second-highest grade with the widest application and largest usage. The report caused a great response from the meeting. Not only did it forcefully promote Chinese products, but it also changed the view that developed countries believed that six-sided top presses could not produce high-grade diamonds, which improved the position of our industry in the world's peers and received good results.
During the meeting, we had a conversation with Mr. Terry Kane, Secretary General of the American Diamond Association, Ms. Fratto, General Manager of DI Company, and Mr. Shen Zezhong, General Manager of Rijin Company. They learned about the status quo and development trend of international famous companies and guided the development of domestic industry. benefit.
After the second regular council of the third session in May 2006, we organized 14 representatives to inspect the diamond and tool market in North Korea. We have also helped many member companies to participate in international exhibitions such as Germany and Japan.
Use the influence of the association to actively carry out foreign trade activities, introduce domestic production enterprises to foreign customers, and help member units explore the international market as much as possible. In 2006, the company signed a foreign trade contract of RMB 61,000 directly to the director unit, and the advance payment of USD 29,000 has been credited. The entire contract will be completed in January 2007. We will continue to work on foreign trade in the future.
5. Actively promote the revision of product standards The industry standard for diamonds has not been revised in 10 years, and it has seriously fallen behind the development needs of the industry. Few people have referred to implementation in production practice. During the year, the club and the Abrasives Standardization Committee have repeatedly negotiated the standard revision plan with the leading enterprises in the industry and conducted research on leading enterprises to actively promote the standard revision process. At present, a leading group and drafting group for the revision of synthetic diamond standards have been established. Work is carried out and it is expected that the revision of the standard will be completed in 2007.
6. Strengthen horizontal integration, mutual assistance and development, and open up new prospects for the work of the association. This branch maintains liaison with international organizations such as the United States, India, Japan Industrial Diamond Association, Korea Tool Industry Association, and domestic quality inspection centers and standard committees. And the liaison of other chapters, learn from each other's strengths, and help each other, and strive to open up a new situation in the work of the association. Third, strengthen statistical work, run the industry yearbook and various publications. The super-hard materials industry is different from other industries. Because it involves various fields of national economy and people's livelihood, the production enterprises are mainly non-state-owned systems, and enterprises pay attention to benefits, and they regard perfection. Statistics are confidential to the business. Although we assure companies that we do not publish specific data for specific companies, we only publish aggregated industry data, but companies still have concerns. In addition, the old idea of ​​segmentation has not been completely eliminated, and statistical work is the most difficult one in the mechanical small industry. The statistical cycle is too long, coupled with the limited manpower of the club, it is difficult to meet the requirements of the monthly report of the monthly report. In recent years, we have overcome multiple difficulties, and statistically report the economic operation of the industry every six months, and report to the industry enterprises after the summary analysis.
"China Abrasives Industry Yearbook" is the only annual data publication in the industry. Although the statistics are difficult and the accuracy of operational data still needs to be improved, it is authoritative and provides authoritative data for industry development and corporate decision-making. This yearbook covers all three small industries under the strong support of the Abrasives and Coated Abrasives Branch. The statistics, printing and publishing of the yearbook have taken a lot of time and a lot of energy. However, because it is good for the development of the industry, we still spare no effort to insist on doing the job well. In 2006, we continued to publish the yearbook of the industry while compiling and publishing the China Machine Tool & Tools Industry Yearbook.
As always, we have compiled the monthly magazine Abrasives Newsletter and China Superhard Materials, and do our utmost to provide information services to the industry.
In 2006, 19 volumes of materials were produced and published by my branch, accounting for more than 2.5 million words. Among them, there are 12 volumes of Abrasives and Abrasives Newsletter, 4 volumes of China Superhard Materials, and 1 yearbook, collection of essays and manufacturers.
For the first time, we organized and edited the "English-Chinese Dictionary of Abrasives", which has been used for more than two years. The purpose is to participate in the international economic cycle service for the abrasives industry. The dictionary has more than 13,000 entries, and it also includes machine tools and related majors. The entry also gives the ISO standard and national standard terminology appendix related to the industry. It has the Chinese entry index and is the industry's first English-Chinese reference book. It is believed to be beneficial to the industry's technology and economic and trade development, and will be related to the industry. People are welcome. The editing work has been completed and is expected to be published in the first half of 2007.

It has become the main window for domestic and foreign people to understand China's super-hard materials industry, and has become one of the main channels for enterprises to communicate with the world. Relevant documents, conference notices, and domestic and international news of the club activities have been real-time online, and the multi-faceted information has been transmitted quickly and widely, which has contributed to the development of the industry. In 2006, a new recruiting English talent was recruited, and the construction of English web pages was being strengthened, and efforts were made to expand the international influence of the website.
