Implementation of "Modulus Standard" for kitchen furniture and equipment

According to Notice No. 696 of 2007 issued by the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Construction's industry standard “Residential Kitchen Furniture and Kitchen Equipment Modular Series” (No. JG/T219-2007) was edited by the Housing Society of China Real Estate and Housing Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as “JG/T219-2007”). The "Modulus Standard" has been approved by the Ministry of Construction on August 21, 2007 and will be implemented on March 1, 2008.

The compilation of "modulus standards" refers to the relevant contents of related international standards, and includes the major kitchen equipments including kitchen furniture industry, kitchen appliance industry and hardware product industry, and standardizes all kinds of kitchen furniture, cabinets and kitchenware. The modular dimensions of hardware products enable the coordination of the dimensions of the space between the kitchen and the kitchen in order to achieve the coordination of the interior space of the kitchen and the dimensions of various equipment and cabinets. The implementation of the “modulus standard” has created favorable conditions for the promotion of standardized production and large-scale procurement of kitchen furniture and kitchen equipment, and is conducive to the promotion of compatibility, versatility, interchangeability, and expandability of kitchen furniture and kitchen equipment. Realize the organic connection between manufacturing and construction industry. At the same time, it also provides strong support for the standardization of residential kitchens, and it is of great significance to guide the market of kitchen furniture and kitchen equipment for small-sized and low-rent housing.

According to relevant statistics, China has built more than 14 million new urban housing units each year, in order to strengthen the management of urban residential construction markets, and gradually reduce and eliminate the phenomenon of “secondary decoration” of new residential buildings in order to reduce resource consumption in the process of housing construction and renovation. The issuance and implementation of “modulus standards” provided a reliable technical basis for the implementation of the 110th order of the Ministry of Construction, standard kitchen design and kitchen equipment design (kitchen furniture design, kitchen electrical product design).
