(1) Base fertilizer. The purpose of applying the base fertilizer is to meet the nutrient requirements of the pumpkin throughout its growing season. The base fertilizer is mainly organic fertilizer, combined with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer. The dosage generally accounts for 1/3--1/2 of the total fertilization amount, 3000---4000 kg of organic fertilizer per acre, and all or most of the phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are used as the base fertilizer, and are mixed with the organic fertilizer into the soil layer. In the case of insufficient organic fertilizer, apply 15-20 kg of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer per acre. When the amount of fertilizer is large, it is combined with deep application. When there is less fertilizer, in order to improve the utilization rate of fertilizer, it is possible to use a concentrated ditch or a hole.
(2) Topdressing. In the seedling stage, the topdressing is mainly based on nitrogen, and the purpose is to promote the emergence of seedlings. Generally, 5-8 kg of nitrogen fertilizer is applied per mu. In the result period, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers need to be supplemented in time to facilitate the full expansion of the fruit. Generally, 10-15 kg of potassium and 5-10 kg of potassium sulfate are applied per acre after fruit setting. In the middle and late stages of pumpkin growth, the ability of roots to absorb nutrients is weakened, and root dressing can be used to meet the nutrient supply needed for plant growth. Generally, 0.2%--0.3% urea, 0.5%--1% potassium chloride, 0.2%--0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate is sprayed once every 7-10 days, and continuously sprayed 2-3 times.
