The origin and use of travertine

Travertine is named for its many holes on the surface of stone. Its scientific name is tuff or travertine. Commercially, it is classified as marble. The use of the stone by humans is very old, and the building that best represents the Roman culture - the gladiator is the masterpiece of the original stone. The color of the travertine is mostly beige, which makes people feel gentle, rich in texture and clear in stripes. The decorative buildings often have strong cultural and historical charm and are used by many buildings in the world. Designed by American Beyuel Architects, the interior and exterior decoration of the Bank of China Building at Xidan Road, Beijing, chose the Italian Roman travertine, which shared 20,000 square meters. Why not call it marble, because its texture and appearance are completely different from the marble in the traditional sense, and the decorative boundary is customary. Travertine is mainly used in architectural exterior decoration and interior flooring and wall decoration.
