Have you hated the overcrowded traffic? Have you ever imagined flying a cloud? Perhaps in the future this will no longer be just a dream. Tiago Barros, a New York architect, recently proposed a bold solution to traffic jams: He doesn't go by car or go by plane. Why not think about sitting in a cloud and going out?
The conceptual design of the "Floating Clouds" was an entry for the participation in the Design Competition for the Future High-Speed ​​Railway System sponsored by the New York City Department of Culture. The theme of the event is "Life on High Speed ​​Rail." Although this idea is not strictly a railway, it does provide us with a very innovative idea.
Barros told reporters: “This design stems from a simple question: What are the problems with the current transportation system? And: How can we change this problem? This is the driving force of my work, and it was finally put forward. This new way of travel is very important when looking at future new travel tools and looking at the future with a new perspective and minimizing carbon dioxide emissions."
This completely new way of travel also has a completely different concept from the traditional concept of travel, which is that it does not have a clear starting point and end point. Barros envisages that a person can take a cloud in the middle and drift around the United States. However, he apparently had no idea about the movement pattern of the atmospheric air flow. If he really wanted to let the clouds drift freely in the wind as he said, the high-altitude air flow would soon send people over the Atlantic Ocean.
But his interpretation of the concept of travel is worth recommending. He said that the trip itself is a jump on a cloud, which is a pleasure to enjoy. In such a trip, you don't need a destination because the floating experience on the clouds is your destination.
Barros said: "I asked myself, how can we make the journey itself more interesting than reaching a certain destination? The conclusion is that with the wind floating, let yourself leave a magical and unforgettable travel experience and completely relax.
