The world's largest ball valve production base will be settled in Chengdu this month

It was learnt from Chengdu High-tech Zone that the international valve giant Tyco Flow Control Company settled in Chengdu in the world's largest ball valve production base this month. The super valve with a caliber exceeding 1 meter and weighing up to 30 tons will realize “Chengdu Construction”.

As an important part of Tyco's "China Plan" with a total investment of 100 million U.S. dollars, the new factory in Chengdu will occupy an area of ​​40,000 square meters and will produce world-famous KTM brand ball valve products such as forged steel and cast steel, floating ball and fixed ball valves. And to achieve "order" production in the chemical, petrochemical and oil and gas industries. Deng Da-li, global president of Tyco Valves & Controls, said that the large "mass" of the Chengdu base will expand the company's production capacity by three times in the next 2-3 years, thereby serving the development of western chemical, petrochemical, electric power, metallurgy and oil and gas industries. In 2014, a 30-ton super valve with a valve diameter of more than 1 meter will also be produced here.

The world's largest manufacturing area for ball valves has been completed in Chengdu. Tyco Fluid Control, a subsidiary of Tyco International, a Fortune 500 company, has established the world's largest ball valve production base in Chengdu. Dai Peide, Global President of Tyco Fluid Controls, hosted the ceremony and guests from Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, the United States, and China attended the ceremony.

It is understood that the new plant is part of Tyco's three-year, US$100 million investment plan in China. The new plant covers an area of ​​40,000 square meters, which is twice the number of established old factories in 2001. The first phase of the project covers an area of ​​19,000 square meters, including manufacturing plants and office facilities. The opening of the new factory is Tyco's response to the Chinese government's call for accelerating the western manufacturing and industrial transformation. It is also the largest ball valve production base in the world with Tyco Flow Control, and will produce Tyco's world-renowned KTM products.

Dai Peide, global president of Tyco Flow Control, said that the Chinese market is part of the company's global growth strategy. Tyco's efforts to deploy the Chengdu market is an important milestone in the company's implementation of its local manufacturing strategy. The new company's production capacity will meet the development needs of the chemical, petrochemical, electric power, metallurgy, and oil and gas industries in the western region.
