In July, China's furniture exports reached US$3.17 billion, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%.

The General Administration of Customs recently announced the import and export of China's foreign trade from January to July this year. According to customs statistics, in the first 7 months, the total value of China's foreign trade imports and exports reached 2,220.55 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 25.1% over the same period of last year (the same below). Among them, exports were 1,049.38 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 23.4%; imports were 973.17 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 26.9%. The trade surplus was 76.21 billion U.S. dollars, a decrease of 8.7%.

Customs statistics show that in July, China’s total import and export value was 318.77 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 21.5%. Among them, the export volume reached 175.13 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 20.4%. The monthly export scale has set a new record of 161.97 billion U.S. dollars, which was just hit last month. Imports were 143.64 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 22.9%.

In the bilateral trade with major trading partners, the value of China-EU bilateral trade in the first seven months was US$318.61 billion, an increase of 21.1%. During the same period, Sino-U.S. bilateral trade totaled 245.49 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 18.5%. In addition, bilateral trade between China and ASEAN totaled 20.09 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 25.5%. Among them, I exported 95.07 billion U.S. dollars to ASEAN, an increase of 24%; imported 107.02 billion U.S. dollars from ASEAN, an increase of 27%; and the trade deficit with ASEAN was 11.95 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 57.3%. In the first seven months, the total value of bilateral trade between China and Japan was USD 19.129 billion, an increase of 18.3%. Among them, I exported 80.92 billion U.S. dollars to Japan, an increase of 24.2%; I imported 110.37 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 14.3%; and the U.S. trade deficit was 29.45 billion U.S. dollars, a decrease of 6.2%.

In the first seven months, from the perspective of exports, in the first half of the year, Guangdong exported 297.12 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 25.9%, which was 2.5 percentage points higher than the total national export growth over the same period. Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai respectively exported 176.47 billion, 121.4 billion, and 118.46 billion U.S. dollars, up 19.9%, 21.1%, and 18%, respectively. In addition, Shandong Province, Fujian Province, and Beijing Municipality exported 70.77 billion, 48.35 billion, and 31.98 billion U.S. dollars respectively, an increase of 26.7%, 22.1%, and 2.9%, respectively.

Among the export commodities, in the first 7 months, China's machinery and electronic products exported 595.15 billion US dollars, an increase of 18.9%, accounting for 56.7% of the total value of China's exports during the same period. The export of electrical and electronic products was 243.6 billion U.S. dollars, up by 20.3%; the export of machinery and equipment was 195.64 billion U.S. dollars, up by 15.3%. The export of traditional commodities has grown steadily. Among them, furniture and its parts exported 3.17 billion U.S. dollars in July, and cumulatively 20.988 billion U.S. dollars from January to July, and a cumulative increase of 13.25% from 18.573 billion U.S. dollars during the same period last year.
