3 system design
The system consists of GPRS collection terminal PLC, GPRS operation network, Internet Server, communication server, and enterprise intranet. The GPRS collection terminal collects the instantaneous flow and accumulated flow of each flowmeter through the serial port or the analog acquisition channel, and stores it in the memory. Regularly send the latest data to the Internet Server. In order to reduce the number of data sent and reduce the running cost, the collection terminal has the function of intelligent judgment. When the data is unchanged (for example, GPRS can report once every hour without emission flow, no need to frequently go, the RTU control diagram is shown in Figure 2.
GPRS metering: Although you can stay online forever, you don't have to worry about the cost; because it only bills when traffic is generated. She is a kind of usage-oriented billing, and the billing method is more scientific and reasonable.
High-speed transmission: The highest theoretical transmission speed of GPRS is 171.2 kbps. Currently, GPRS can support a transmission rate of about 40 Kbps.

This article takes a Shanghai brand wireless terminal and Delta DVP-10SX as an example. This series of products include: GPRS, CDMA, EDGE and other products. Here choose GPRS mode, 232 communication port. This series supports local and remote settings. The system configuration table is shown in Table 1, and the system framework is shown in Figure 3.

4 system installation and debugging process
Testing the ZWDTU wireless terminal requires the following software:
Local setting software (zwdtuset.exe), virtual serial port software VSPM.exe, server to serial port software zwsvr2ck.exe,
Network debugging assistant.
Preparation steps before installation and commissioning:
1) Connect the serial port of the device to the serial port of the computer using a serial cable;
2) Run the local setup software (zwdtuset.exe) to use the baud rate of the device (the initial baud rate of the device is 115200)
Open the serial port connected to the device, such as "COM1";
