Xinjiang is an important base for China's oilfield chemical industry. It is of great significance to carry out basic research work on the water-oil interface process in Xinjiang. In the study of water-oil interface, the structure and behavior of surfactant at the water/oil interface has always been the focus of international counterparts. In recent years, at the smooth water-oil interface, the international counterparts have used in-situ detection of second-order nonlinear spectroscopy. However, this type of study has not been extensive in the micro-sized curved interface in the emulsion.
Researcher of Environmental Science and Technology Research Institute, Xinjiang Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences prepared a dye-probe molecule in the system by preparing a surfactant-free water/hexadecane emulsion, utilizing the second harmonic that is extremely sensitive to the interface. The technology explores the effect of micromolar concentrations of surfactant molecules on the molecular adsorption structure and energy on emulsion droplets. The objects of this research work include common surfactants such as SDS, CTAB, and Tween80. This work deepens people's understanding and understanding of the impact of these typical surfactants on emulsion droplets, and further studies of surfactants The role of the emulsion provides a scientific basis and related research results have been published in the Journal of Chemical Physics.
